Eunice was determined to stop me from coming to London today but like many other philatelists I beat her – I dropped everything and came on Thursday – mind you that meant that I forgot a few things such as my OAP free bus pass and a dress shirt for the RPSL President’s Dinner on Friday.
So hard luck, dealers, I have less money to spend on your stock.
Arriving a day early meant that I was able to help in setting up the Royal Stand and seeing the work done and the problems in putting the Exhibition and Dealers’ stands together. It starts as pile of boxes and crates in empty stands with tables lined up waiting to be used. By the time that I left at 6pm there was a sense that this is going to be a great experience. Whichever time you can give to it – come – and when you do think about the whole space being empty on Wednesday. Volunteering, even on the last day, made me feel more a part of the whole event – see you here. Talk to me – who knows your words of wisdom might appear here.
Let’s get together to be social and philatelic.
