Being held in partnership with the Great Britain Philatelic Society (GBPS), the online event follows the success of the month-long Summer of Stamps, which attracted thousands of collectors from around the world. The three-day conference will give collectors the chance to learn more about British stamps with special talks, webinars and Q&A sessions. The online conference will be free to attend and is set to be the first of an ongoing series of ‘Collectors’ Conference’ events to be featured here on the allaboutstamps.co.uk website. Editor Matt Hill said: ‘The Summer of Stamps was a great success and covered all kinds of different subjects. We’ll definitely be returning for a second Summer of Stamps festival next year, and right now we’re keen to focus on a particular topic and really give collectors expert insight to help them build their knowledge and their collection. ‘We’re very pleased to be working with the GBPS on the conference content/ Once again, collectors can enjoy all the content for free as we work to bring the community together and share our passion and expertise.’
About the Great Britain Philatelic Society
The GBPS was founded in 1955 by a small but enthusiastic group of collectors in order to promote, encourage, and contribute to the advancement of the philately of Great Britain. Since then it has grown steadily, and now has more than 800 members in the UK and abroad. The Society deals with all aspects of GB philately, and has contributed much to the field; this is certain to continue as new members with fresh ideas join.
