SUMMARY:Rocky Mountain Stamp Show
DESCRIPTION:The 73rd Rocky Mountain Stamp Show will take place May 24-26\, 2024\, at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds Exhibition Halls A & B\, 25690 E Quincy Ave.\, Aurora\, CO 80016. Hours are Friday & Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-3pm. The event is free and open to the public. This year we are expecting to fill the 400 available frames with world class exhibits from our convening societies and the participants in the AAPE-sponsored George Brett Cup Competition. Our bourse floor will accommodate 32 dealer booths and 13 society and activity booths. The 2024 show theme is ‘Celebrating the Native Plants of Colorado’. We will have our popular What’s in Your Attic? booth where visitors can learn about an inherited accumulation or rekindle their interest in a long-neglected collection. The CYPHER (Colorado Young Philatelic Explorers & Researchers) Stamp Club will have youth activities scheduled throughout the show\, including a Stamp Collecting Merit Badge class for Scouts on Sunday May 26th at 10am. Our show wouldn’t be complete without the Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library’s silent auction\, a major fundraiser for this important volunteer-run philatelic community resource. We look forward to hosting the largest show in our region for a third year at the ‘new’ venue. It truly has some strong advantages over the previous venue (better lighting\, more space\, less noise\, better food choices on site) and right across the hall will be the Denver Postcard and Paper Show. The official show hotel and site of the awards banquet is the DoubleTree by Hilton – Denver/Aurora\, 13696 E Iliff Pl.\, Aurora\, CO 80014. A free shuttle for hotel guests will provide transportation between the hotel and fairgrounds during show hours.

DESCRIPTION:This event has now been postponed to May 25th to 28th 2023 due to the Covid 19 pandemic \nA full international exhibition under FIP patronage with FEPA recognition. All classes are accepted at 80 Euros per frame\, 110 Euros for single frame entries and 50 Euros for literature plus a UK handling and transport charge to be advised. \nUK deadline for entries is 23rd September 2020 but this is extended to 4th October 2020 for anyone seeking to obtain qualification of a new exhibit at Autumn Stampex 2020.
